Karura Warranty and Terms for Custom Guitar, Violin and Banjo Cases

Each case is warranted for 1 year against defects in parts and workmanship. During this period, Karura may repair, replace or provide monetary compensation as a remedy for problems with warranted products depending upon each individual situation. In no instance will Karura substitute a refurbished case for a new case without notifying the customer.
Karura will pay associated shipping and handling and insurance charges for valid warranty claims. At our discretion, Karura will pay authorized dealers to accomplish warrantee repairs or part replacements.

Karura requires that customers register new products within 30 days of original purchase in order to receive warranty benefits. Registration is accomplished via the internet by accessing the warrantee registration form on this website and entering owner information and case Serial Number in the text box.

Warrantee claims will be administered by the dealer who sold the warranted product. Claims should be initiated by contacting your authorized Karura Dealer. If the product was purchased directly from Karura, the warranty claim shall be initiated via the internet by accessing through the contact form on this website and entering the information required and a description of your difficulty.

Following successful submission of the warranty claim, the customer will be contacted by the dealer or a Karura representative as soon as possible to help you resolve the issue. Customers must request and receive a warranty claim number from Karura Case before receiving any warranty benefit. At this time Karura will provide customer with instructions for shipping which will be paid for by the company.

All warranty claims require the following information: Product S/N, Proof of Original Purchase original export/import documentation, warranty registration number and customer contact information. Failure to provide this information may impair satisfaction of the claim or additional charges to the customer.

Exceptions to Warranty:

Karura does not accept responsibility for guitar cases produced by companies other than World Liberty (Thailand) Ltd. Co.

Karura is not liable for damage to the attributable to misuse or alteration, accident or mishandling during use, travel or shipment.

Karura’s entire liability for any defective Product shall in no event exceed the original  price for the defective Product. Karura in no way warrants insures or guarantees the customer against loss to the content carried in Karura Cases.

If the return results from a customer mistake or action (e.g. submission of incorrect measurement data, handling damage or selection of the wrong product or color choice etc), Karura will modify or replace the returned product to satisfy the customer as quickly as possible, however; the customer will be responsible for shipping and handling charges and costs associated with modifying or refurbishing the case to original condition or alternate specification. Customer will be responsible for all loss or damage during shipment arising from these circumstances.

Karura’s warranty may be transferred. Warrantee transfer requires that the new owner go to Karura’s website contact page, enter and submit warrantee transfer S/N Name and contact information.

The warranty period is limited to 12 consecutive months beginning the day of customer Reciept.

These product benefits do not apply to Karura cases sold as factory seconds, refurbished units or by individuals an unauthorized dealers.

Responsibility for Shipping Charges

Customers pay original shipping. If the return is related to a product defect, or our mistake, we pay to return the product to us and we will pay to ship a replacement product to you.

If the customer returns a product due to your mistake (mistake in ordering or change in specifications, etc), or for any reason except warrantee, you pay to return the original product back to us and for us to ship replacement product to you (if applicable). We do not credit any original shipping charges toward the exchange.

In the case of an outright return for refund, we refund the full purchase price of the product, but no shipping costs. The customer is responsible for return shipping on the product you are returning. We do not credit the original shipping charges toward the exchange.
Modification and Refurbishment Charges

For custom made cases, if a customer makes a mistake by ordering the wrong color or the wrong interior dimensions etc, the customer will be charged for modifying the case and for associated shipping charges.
