Karura cases offer unsurpassed strength to weight ratios. No other case comes close. Professional musicians worldwide rely on Karura daily to protect their guitar from damage, heat, moisture, and dust while flying to international concert halls or road-tripping it from city to city.

Both case models have been laboratory certified to withstand over 1000 kg (1 Ton) of compression without material failure. Very low deflection under normal loads prevents damage to your fine guitars.

Karura has completed extensive drop testing which demonstrated that the Karura case structure is not significantly damaged when dropped at any angle from heights of up to two meters ( 6.5 Feet)

Karura’s unparalleled strength to weight characteristics result from advanced composite structure design.

Our competitors “flight” cases are made from fiberglass (extremely heavy) or they are made from a simple arrangement of impregnated carbon or other fiber material which is easily crushed; offering very little protection for the guitar. Karura builds flight cases which offer unequaled protection at the lowest possible weight.

The Sentinel Flight Case is constructed from aerospace quality carbon fiber, utilizing processes similar to those employed by the yachting and aeronautical industries. We infuse structural grades of foam and aerospace grade carbon fiber using a vacuum process. Our advanced construction is time consuming and expensive but it produces extremely durable light components. As a result Karura’s Sentinel Flight Case cannot be crushed by one ton of compression and it weighs just over 4.3 Kilos.

* Case Construction - Guardian
It is identical to the Sentinel flight case except some carbon fiber content is replaced by basalt fiber. This case was designed to provide hedge against the world wide carbon fiber shortage which exists today. This case is extremely strong. The primary difference from our Professional case is slightly more weight. Guardian cases are Identical in interior and exterior dimensions and finish, these flight cases weigh slightly more than 5.0 Kg and deliver unsurpassed protection.

Karura has designed it processes like those employed in the aerospace industry to minimize variation and defects. Our team uses exacting processes coupled with attention to detail to ensure consistent performance and endurance.

Protective features

The Karura rubber gasket, hinges, and lockable catches, create an impenetrable seal between the two halves of the guitar case, while our ultra foam cushion beds absorb even the most violent shocks or drops. The multi layer carbon fiber/foam construction coupled with the foam padding in our cases provides very effective insulation for the guitar to protect it from temperature extremes.
