Standard cases are available for customers with banjos similar in size and characterizes to old time banjos, with an 11” rim in the Tubaphone/White Laydie style (open back) and a Gibson Mastertone 5-string banjo (resonator). The standard cases were derived from measurements of these instruments. These cases are available quickly, without the need to supply specific instrument dimensions.
Standard interior configurations may not provide the crafted fit that would be delivered by a custom fit interior. Before purchasing a standard case, please compare the basic dimensions of your banjo to the table below to insure that the standard case is properly sized for your instrument. Karura recommends that your instrument dimensions should not exceed the standard case dimension by more than 6 mm (0.24 in) and should not be less than the case dimension by more than 3 mm (0.1 in). Once you confirm, your instrument will fit to your satisfaction in a standard case, you may place your order simply by clicking the PayPal button and following the ordering process.
Standard cases will not be refit free of charge. The customer assumes responsibility for final fit. If errors are made, the case can be returned to Karura for a custom fit at customer expense or customer may order additional pads at customer expense to facilitate a better fit.
