Karura Case Company designs and manufactures the world’s finest guitar cases with the touring musician foremost in mind. We understand concerns that every guitarist has when it comes to protecting their most valuable possession: their guitar. Our cases provide you with peace of mind to travel effortlessly with a fine instrument.

Dreadnought Cases

Karura offers a mid-sized case designed to accommodate most “steel string” and dreadnaught guitars. The standard interior has been designed to fit a C.F. Martin & Co. model D-28 guitar.

Banjo, Violin and Arch-top cases

Karura is currently developing a case model that will accommodate other instruments. Karura expects to begin production of cases for Banjo, Violin and Arch-top Guitars calendar year 2008. If you would like to obtain information on these cases please click here.

Case Options

Karura encourages you to express your individuality by further customizing your case.

Interior:
Every Karura flight case is hand-styled with a beautifully custom fit interior of crushed velvet. The standard velvet color is raspberry red with a white Karura logo. Other velvet colors are available, please contact us for to inquire about fabric options. We can easily and quickly replace our embroidered logo with your logo or name on the lid interior.

Exterior:
The standard finish is a color infused gelcoat which comes in clear (showing carbon fiber underneath), black and white. The standard finish has a polished sheen and shows inherent composite material patterns. An optional “Allure” finish provides a beautifully smooth and lustrous surface finish which adds to the elegance of the case. The allure finish is produced by eliminating all visible composite material patterns and applying a high quality 2-pak coating. The “Allure” finish is available in standard black and white and other optional colors. it is not available in clear. Select the “Allure” finish color to match your gelcoat color preference. If you prefer an alternate coating material or different “Allure” coating color, we can apply virtually any commercially available finish or color. We can also assist you with application of custom graphics.

Handle/Straps
Each case includes a durable leather handle and nylon shoulder strap. The beauty and comfort of your case may be enhanced with a uniquely patterned, hand tooled soft black leather shoulder strap. We will be happy to accommodate your desire for custom leather handles or straps at a reasonable price.

Generally custom requirements require no additional time. However, some options may require additional time or payment. If you request special options, you will be provided with a fixed quote and schedule within two days of ordering. Please contact us to get a firm quote prior to order.
